The Month Without Tobacco website is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland.

Use of Google services:

Google Ireland Limited (headquartered in Ireland) is the provider of the Google services used under the Cookie Banner and acts as our subcontractor. To this end, Google Ireland uses Google LLC (based in the United States) as a subcontractor (both “Google”). The processing of personal data is subject to a data processing agreement with Google Ireland Limited. If personal data is processed as part of the services below in so-called third countries (in particular by Google USA), the EU’s standard contractual clauses apply.

YouTube

We integrate video content from Youtube into this website. Our service provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The video portal is operated by YouTube LLC, USA. We have an order processing agreement with our service provider. If personal data is processed in third countries (in particular by YouTube in the USA), the EU’s standard contractual clauses apply.

When you visit one of our pages with a YouTube plug-in, a connection is established with YouTube’s servers. During this connection, YouTube places at least one cookie which records your IP address and our URL. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. You can prevent cookies from being saved by configuring your browser accordingly.

Data is processed on the basis of your consent, which you gave at the start of your visit to our website. You may revoke this consent at any time.

We use social network plug-ins on our website (see the corresponding symbols). When you click on a plug-in, a connection is established with the servers of the provider of the plug-in concerned and the providers can see that you are on our website. When visitors fill in formson our site, we collect the data displayed in the form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the browser user agent string to help detect spam.

The following information is systematically collectedwhen you register:

    1. Email address – this information is essential in order to benefit from the Month Without Tobacco programme.
    2. Canton of residence – information needed to offer local support.
    3. Demographic information (age, sex, reasons for quitting, etc.) – used solely for statistical evaluation of the project.

3. 40-day diary – practical guide

When participants register for the Month Without Tobacco 2023 campaign, they can decide for themselves whether they wish to receive the 40-day diary by post. Participants who wish to receive the 40-day diary by post are asked to provide their name and postal address. The data will be processed on the basis of the consent given. This consent may be revoked at any time by post or e-mail.

If you are a resident of Liechtenstein and have requested to receive certain elements of the Month Without Tobacco programme by post, we will forward your personal details (address and name) to the Amt für Soziale Dienste Liechtenstein (Liechtenstein Office of Social Services) in order to ensure that your orders are distributed correctly. The Liechtenstein Social Services Office undertakes to respect the following points when processing personal data:

– The data will be treated confidentially and will not be passed on to third parties.

– The data will be used exclusively for sending the 40-day diary.

– The data will be deleted by the Liechtenstein Social Services Office after the 40-day diary has been sent (by 10 November 2023 at the latest).

4. Quit smoking Helpline

When participants register for the Month Without Tobacco 2023 campaign, they can decide for themselves whether they wish to be contacted by the stop-tobacco line. Participants who wish to be contacted by the stop-smoking line and receive telephone support must provide their telephone number.

This data (telephone number) will then be sent to the stop-smoking lineoperated by the Swiss Cancer Leagueso that the latter can contact the participants who have requested it. This data processing is carried out on the basis of the consent given. This consent may be revoked at any time by post or e-mail.

5. Newsletter

The Month Without Tobacco regularly sends out a newsletter providing you with exclusive information and the most important updates about our events, programmes, business opportunities, job offers and members-only offers. Each newsletter contains a link you can use to unsubscribe.

We use Infomaniak to distribute our newsletter. We collect your name and email address. Infomaniak uses cookies and other tracking technologies to collect information about your device and email interaction.

This data processing is carried out on the basis of the consent given. This consent can be revoked at any time: if you prefer not to receive newsletters or other mailings from us, you can unsubscribe from these mailings by following the unsubscribe instructions in these messages or by contacting us. Your email address will be removed from our mailing list. Please allow us a reasonable time to fulfill your request, as some promotions may already be underway.

6. Social media

We operate pages and other online presences on social networks and other platforms managed by third parties and process data about you in this context. In doing so, we receive data from you (e.g. when you communicate with us or comment on our content) and from the platforms (e.g. statistics). Platform providers may analyse your use and process this data together with other data they have about you. They also process this data for their own purposes (e.g. for marketing and market research purposes and for managing their platforms) and act as independent data controllers for this purpose. 7. How long do we keep your data?

The data you send us is also processed by our external IT service providers and our server supplier.

All information provided via the Month Without Tobacco website is stored for up to one year after the end of the programme (with the exception of the newsletter, as long as you have not unsubscribed).

Data sent to third-party organisations (i.e. Amt für Soziale Dienste Liechtenstein and the Quit Smoking Helpline) will be stored by them only for the time necessary to provide the agreed service.

8. What are your rights?

You have the right to request information about the personal data we have processed about you. If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke this consent at any time, with effect for the future. In addition, you may, to the extent permitted by law, request the correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your personal data.
